Been using Yamalube since the bikes were under warranty (just trying to reduce chance of crap from the dealer should there be an issue Rollzeyes ) but now that the warranty period is over I'm switching both bikes to Mobil 1 synthetic with Yamaha oil filters.

I was doing the same and my warranty just ended too, and actually just got back from cycle gear buying some oil about 5 minutes ago, I'm making the switch to motul 5100 though instead of mobil though. Ive heard it smooths out shifting a ton and my bike shifts pretty hard unless im upwards of 9000 rpms.

I've never heard of a vehicle warranty being voided by using a non-factory oil.

+1 for Rotella T6 w/ K&N filter

Cheap combo that I've had very good results with and K&N is nice enough to provide a pre-safety wired nut to make filter install/removal easy. You won't find a cheaper full synthetic that anyone else can comment on.

Make it simple for me.

What is the best oil for my bike?

Also, what are the best tires?
