Not sure which group to sign up for. I'm running pretty good in B with NESBA and don't mind the slower traffic on the bigger courses but Patriot was a little frustrating. Don't want to be the slowest guy on course either.

Sign up for I and you'll be fine. This track tends to be a great equalizer anyway, I've seen some advanced guys REALLY parking it out there.

Summit is the only track Ive been on (6 times) and boy is it fun!

Watch out for 8 coming up the slight hill, tons of folks crash there for some reason. Slight left after the tighter stuff.........

We're back! What a weekend and what a track!

Many thanks to Dan and his moon sized trailer for getting all of us up there (eventually) and back safely. Our departure kept hitting snags that it became pretty comical in the end. And despite there being 5 in the truck on the way home, there were no serious issues with BO or otherwise.

Brian's camouflaged R6 couldn't be seen on track, either because of the paint or because of speed. BME9000000 caught a HUGE power wheelie which I may have on video (camera batteries died on one of those runs). Dan was unexpectedly bumped to CR and was out for 3 consecutive sessions at the end of the day. I got the world's easiest bump from I to A group. Cliff rode the poop out of his F4i and pretty much spanked a majority of the riders out there.

Shenandoah is a very tight and technical course. I really brought the wrong bike... I switched to a 55 series rear tire and a "V" profile Power One front tire thinking the combination would help turn-in. It did, but you just can't cheat inertia. Halfway through a session I was physically exhausted. Still I feel like my first couple of laps were smoking. There were two spots where I could power wheelie pretty easily... once at the top of a hill before the Karussel, and another time on the back straight. The Karussel is an interesting track feature on a motorcycle. Videos don't do it justice... it really feels like the world has gone sideways and you're riding on a wall. There is a very strong urge to NOT slow down.

I want to go back.

That track rocks. It's got everything and is super technical. Dan put together a first-class trip and I got some great riding in with one of the CR's. We were flying. My legs and my knee pucks got a great workout. I'm just now starting to recover from it all today, including Dan's chili. LOL

We managed to beat the monster but many others did not. The organizers were very clear to start slow and take your time learning the track. Many didn't listen. Every session I rode, there was a red flag. Even so, it still was killer. Fortunately, no one seemed to be seriously hurt.

Thanks to everyone that made the trip with me, I had a freakin' blast! I don't think I've ever been more tired at the end of the track day. They are running the course again Monday September 6, I plan on being there.

I tend to talk this track up quite a bit (it's still is my favorite track) so I was glad to get some new people up there and see them enjoy it. Happy Everyone did great picking up the track too, which can easily take most of a day to learn.

The same can't be said for the go-kart track where we easily set the record for number of black flags in one session. Black Eye

Bringing the VFR when you return? LOL I don't know how you did more than 3 laps without collapsing from exhaustion on that beast, but you were tearing it up pretty good out there!

Thanks Cliff. Happy

I think my legs are more sore today than they were yesterday.

Since we bought the pictures, I didn't feel too bad taking these low-res versions off their site.

There were a couple shots that had BME9000000 and I

I liked this shot a lot

And finally, I came to really dislike motards. I passed this guy several times on the back straight, only for him to catch up to me by the end of the really tight sections.

After seeing you work that beast of bike Joe, I think I've found a new job for you...

Hahahahahahahaha seriously... My recent trips to Road Atlanta spoiled me, I forgot what a technical track is like. It's too much like manual labor.

Yup, that was a blast for sure. Tempted to do the Sept. 6th.

Thanks Dan for hauling us up there, whipping up the mean chili, and oh yeah... stuffing me on turn 1, Jerk. Haha, I laughed pretty good when I replayed the video. It was like Nascar----4 wide.

Who gets black flagged in Go Karting? I was like whaaaaaaaaat!
